Back from Holiday and into more crafting.

Made this for a workmate who announced his engagement yesterday after a week off work. It isn't anywhere near as pink as the picture but the flash seems to have changed it's colour.

Sorry not been around much and not really been doing much in the crafting depatment. I needed these cards for a friend so got going and am quite happy with the results.

Will be on holiday next week so a good opportunity to get some pics taken and more scrapbooking done when I get back.

This weeks challenge is to use a Bee Gees song title, something red, a bit of bling some ribbon and buttons. This is my interpretation, I didn't realise the llist of songs that they had written!

Another scrapbook page for another challenge, this one had to have a royal connection amongst other things so this is the best I could do.

Joined in a challenge for a scrapbook page and this is what I've come up with. It's a bit bright for me really but had the papers and decided to give it a go, hope to do more in the near future as I have tons of pics to sort through.

Here is a card made for an ex workmate who is getting married at the end of the month, sorry I can't take credit for the basic idea but I can for the way I've adapted it.

I've had my Cricut for a few weeks now but haven't really made anything with it, just been playing to see what it will do and I have to say I think it will become something I will use a lot.

I decided to see how this flower would turn out and while it's not 100% it is quite good I think, I cut it out in white card and then painted it with The Stamp Connection pearlescent powder paints, mounted it onto black and used a little piece of oriental paper that came in a kit from C&C quite some time ago.

I've been very poor about posting anything on my blog and the cards I have made have gone out without me taking a photo. Well I have got sorted after a fashion and thought I'd give Rainbow Lady's swirls challenge a go so here is my offering. You can find the challenge at http://rainbowladyschallengeblog.blogspot.com/ . I stamped the swirl pattern over a plain white card then painted the card with some pearlesent powder paints in pale gold, highlighted some of the swirls with the same paint but in red and then popped a chipboard tag again painted with the same paint and stamped with a pretty flower stamp.

Well I had to give in and buy the newest cd from Joanna Sheen, I want to print everything off and just craft but have to be a bit sensible. I have made a start and these are the first two cards made.

Ruby Wedding Card

A friend has asked for a ruby wedding card for someone she met on holiday, it is belated so I didn't want to go over the top, hope you like it.

Been asked to do christening cards so this is what I have come up with. They were very well received.

Well I've been away for a weeks holiday and just had to take some crafting things with me, so here are some of the cards made this past week, these are all done with the designs from FGS Designs.

Well decided to have a play with the new cd's and here are some of the results.

My time to craft challenge this week is babies, find details here http://mytimetocraftchallenge.blogspot.com/ this is done with some stamps I bought before I really started crafting. embossed in gold then painted as is the sentiment. I have just finished it off with a feather cos I love them.

I think you may be able to guess the reason for this card, not the best picture in the world but hopefully you will be able to see it well enough.

This weeks challenge was to use one of the colours of the rainbow, well in my fairyland mind pink should be there but it's not so have used violet, I have painted some tapestry card with H2o's then stamped a couple of images from a serendipity stamp set in black and embossed with a sparkle powder, used my crop-a-dile to punch a hole and used some co-ordinating ribbon and eyelet. Hope this is ok don't usually do ATC's but we have to try new things sometimes.

Well I've never known so many people getting engaged, married, re-married or now renewing vows. These two cards once again done with the glitter girls boards and the fantastic tapestry card from Joanna Sheen, were only ordered two days ago soI am amazed I had time to do them.

I have another wedding card to do in the next day or so but it will be totally different then yet another one like these two, I find them so easy to make but everyone thinks they look really good. Makes a change from spending hours and making a mess.

Been using Flora Doodles again, just felt like playing rather than doing something for a special reason.

The challenge from Rainbow Lady this week is to use beads on your creation, hope this fits the bill. I have made a shaker card and filled with glass beads, I have also stuck glass beads to the centre of each flower.

I've finally decided on a card for one of my swaps, struggled a bit even though it was an easy topic. I seem to like quite plain things so this is in the same vein, I do hope my swap partner likes it.

The card is made from black silk mirri board and white tapestry card both bought from Joanna Sheen, also the Flora Doodle flower came from the same place. The little black dress I cut out of the same card as the base layer and just popped some self adhesive pearls on it. The letters are done with the old favourite the cuttlebug, it doesn't show very well but there are pearls in the corners of the base layer.

I made this card for my newest great neice Chloe Melody, I have so many "greats" I am beginning to feel realy old.
