Bah! Humbug! - Text

Over on Bah! Humbug! this week the ladies want us to use text, this card is using some text panels from a HOTP booklet I have had for a few years. There is a main image and then a smaller one for the inside of the card, I have used a black card with silver embossed snowflakes that came from a visit to Kanban a year or two ago, the panels are softened with chalks and layered onto glitter card.
I like the look of the glitter card but it is a pig to get anything to stick to, I have used pinflair but you can see it a little through the paper so this will have to go to someone who's a bit shortsighted, lol or maybe I need a diecut snowflake to cover it. I added the silver ribbon to finish it off which is another purchase from a while ago, in fact I think it came with something else
but is wire edged so not good for tying into bows.

  1. Know what you mean about getting things to stick to glitter card. Short of scraping all the glitter away from the portion you are trying to stick, which is a really messy business, I can only suggest maybe matting the quote onto white card first before adding your pinflair or silicon so it won't show through the paper. HOTP pads for fabby for their greetings aren't they and you have chosen a lovely duo for your card. Thank you for sharing with us at Bah! Humbug!

  2. Hello Jenny

Oh my this is just beautiful, I love the subtle colours and the simplicity. The black card and snowflakes make the perfect accompliment.

  3. Hi Jenny - love your HOTP sentiments and so beautiful with the added chalk - very impressive.
As to the ribbon did you know you can pull the wire out - I always do that as it's so stiff with it in and as you say you can't tie it too well.
