Less is more

I've just found a new challenge blog - Less is More  and thought I'd join in, the theme is a one layer card. Now this is something a lilttle alien to me but it's good to have a go so hope you like it.

  1. This id so lovely - can you share how you did it? What kind of paper did you use, stamp first, or after, and is it watercolor?

  2. 'Less is More' is alien to me too, but am loving it anyway. This is a fab card. I like the black on lavender (well that's what I will call the shade. Think this fits the bill perfectly. Love Sheila (Cyprus))

  4. Thought you said you weren't pleased with it Jenny - this is great. You did the other style to me and really nailed it.
The only thing I would say that I think might have looked better (but crikey I really struggle with these cards ) is if the writing was small and on the bottom right of the image. Think I've seen them done like that before but don't quote me on that.
I love it and think you should be really proud of your efforts.

  5. I'm so glad that you joined us with this great card. I love the purple square and the overstamped silhouettes.
If I were to make any comment at all I would concur with Ann in that the image might have more effect if the sentiment were smaller... but fab nevertheless.
If you do one with a smaller sentiment I'd love to see it!

  7. It's absolutely gorgeous Jenny - and when you think of all the time we take adding layers and embellishments - something as lovely as this makes you wonder why. Oh I know why - we enjoy it.

  13. Cracking card
I too would have said a smaller sentiment woold work better but hey, hindsight is a wonderful thing!
Id have probably put a teeny tiny one from the bottom right in black
    Or maybe with no sentiment!

Great work, your support is much appreciated
